FAQs

I don’t have a Louisiana Fishing License, do I need to get one?
LICENSE must be purchased before trip.  All out of state licenses can be purchased before the trip for a fee of $5.00 per person and is good for up to 3 days of fishing.  Capt. Chet can give you details on how to get your license.

What do I need to bring with me?
We supply poles, bait, ice, fuel, water, cleaning, and packaging. All you need to bring is an ice chest to bring fish home (shipping available at additional cost), snacks, soft drinks, and alcohol beverages if you choose.

I have never been charter fishing, what do I need to know about fishing?
Our charter fleet’s crew members will be there to help you and make your charter trip as fun as possible.  If you have a question, have a problem or you're just curious about something, don’t hesitate to ask the captain and his crew.

How far out and how long is a charter trip?

Trip lengths average 6-7 hrs and we do not go off shore. All fishing is done inland

What do we catch?

Red Fish, Specs, Drums, Sheep Heads, and Flounder

What if it rains while we are fishing?
Fish tend to be wet already, so if you can stand the rain it will probably not affect the fishing! The rain can also be a wonderful thing in the heat of the day, but if there is rain in the forecast, you may want to add rain gear to your list of things to bring. Also remember, just because it’s raining at your hotel, condo or at the beach doesn’t mean it is raining in the marsh where you will be fishing.

Do I need reservations?
Yes.  In order to reserve your fishing trip, you should give us a call or fill out our form on this website.
